who are our families?
Our families are those who have a child that are going through or have been through pediatric cancer.
We want our families to feel at peace and supported during our retreats and events. Please apply today for the opportunity to be one of the families at our next retreat!
what to expect
We strive to create an experience for both the children and the adults that they will remember for forever. Our retreats are scheduled to include different types of groups and experiences each day that include faith-based devotion and worship time, children groups, parent groups, family time, and special nightly activities. Our retreats are usually 4 days, 3 nights at a beautiful location. All of your accommodations, meals, and activities are included. We want you to relax enjoy your time at the retreat, which is why we do our best to take care of everything!
Common Grounds is a group session with other oncology parents where you have the opportunity to share your journey and gain a new perspective and support during these hard times.
Each morning, we have morning star, which is a faith-based devotion and worship to help strengthen one’s hope in faith and God.
Each day, the children will enjoy Star Groups, which are volunteer-led games, crafts, swimming, and other fun activities.
Retreat moms will enjoy one spa service at the resort and have lunch with their host mom. This experience is a much needed break for these oncology moms and a very special to have time to connect with other oncology moms and the host mom.
Retreat Dads will enjoy a trip on the golf course and lunch with their host dad. This is an opportunity for dad’s to minister dads, even if you don’t know how to golf, you will enjoy the experience.
There is also a parent date night, where you will go to a nice, child-free dinner!
Every night we have a special evening activity that everyone will enjoy like glow in the dark golf, s’mores and laser tag!
